The first OAV actually plops you down right into the middle of the story, so there were alot of "huh?" moments for me. The current story arc then proceeds to end at the fourth OAV, and then OAV five and six go back in time to explain the history and motivations of the characters. (Which is rather odd and didn't really work for me. I would have preferred if OAVs five and six were integrated as flashbacks into the first four, and at first viewing I would recommend watching them before the others.) I still have questions concerning the end of the fourth OAV, myself. Spoilers ahead!

So they just left Sarah in the Throne of Yord forevermore at the end? I know it absorbed her but-- can she ever come out and visit? Or is it safe for them to visit her inside now? And did Yord assimilate Sarah the moment she first entered or was there a time when she could have successfully been retrieved from it? Gargh, questions, questions!

Besides this there were a few things "off" in the story to me which keeps it from being one of my favorite anime. Tiara is from the Guardian World, which seems to be another dimension that can be accessed from earth, so the time she spends in an earth school seems really superfluous to me. And there's something about the character designs which seem a fingerswidth off from perfect to me, but that's probably me being weird. Anyway, I would definately recommend these OAVs, even to a non-shoujo fan.

Seeing that Shamanic Princess cels are rather expensive (and that I managed to find my dream cel from it! Wai!) this section won't be expanding too much in the near future. Unfortunately both of the Tiara-Kagetsu cels were scanned at low resolutions so the colors are off.
