For X-mas Endy-poo wants Santa to bring free dodging lessons for Sailor Moon

After I bought my first few cels I was content-- for awhile. Months came and went-- and then I went on a mad buying binge at Anime Taro. (I swear, I must've been putting his kids through college at the time.) This is a cel from one of those binges; I believe that I picked up the key-master set-up of Tamahome & Taka at the same time.

How could I resist? It's Endy-poo! I believe this was around $125-$150 at the time, which isn't too bad since Sailor Moon prices had begun their climb by then and Prince Endymion cels were getting pretty hefty. Highlight the following area for further spoilers. (And now, can you guess what I'm saying just by looking at the emoticons? )

Can this really be considered a spoiler? I mean poor Endy-poo has died so many times in the series and the original season was played umpty-umph times on TV already... but anyway. This is Mamoru's death scene from the end of the original season. I believe, counting the death of the original Prince Endymion/Darien in 'The Past Returns', this would be his second of many deaths to come.

Anyway, poor Endy-poo is doing his impression of a pin cushion yet again as Queen Beryl in a fit of jealousy(can you really blame the girl? ) tries to skewer the lovebirds with a rather large crystal spike. So Endy-poo throws his rose and creates many smaller crystal spikes which skewer him as he protects Sailor Moon.

In this his head is laying in her lap in his last moments as he tells her to find a good boyfriend. (or in the dub Sailor Moon tells him he has permission to call her meatballhead) He laughs, the scene shifts to a dying rose losing its petals, and poor Endy-poo's head falls to the side. Oh, the horror! And he doesn't even get to come back at the end to fight Beryl as a spirit. What a gyp!

This is the B2 layer. If anyone has the A layer of Sailor Moon's lap I'd be much oblidged if you dropped me a line. No pencil sketch was included. (Or rather the remains of the pencil sketch scraps clinging to the paint on the cel's back was included. )
