You know you want me baby. So what if I'll drive you into the poorhouse? *NFS*

Ahhhh, evil Tamahome, how do I love thee? *rubs face against cel* Let me count the ways... *looks up sheepishly* And now that I've managed to scare you... This is one of my earlier cels, my first Fushigi Yuugi one, and still one of my favorites-- not to mention still being one of the most expensive. This is also the reason why I'm not such an enthusiastic Fushigi Yuugi cel collector-- he's just so perfect for me, I don't really need many other Tamahome cels. My friend who'd also never seen FY at that time said "That is so you" when I showed her the cel. Tis fate, I say! I'm still holding out for the Tasuki, Hotohori, and Amiboshi cels that will be as perfect to me as this cel is. (And still waiting, am I. )

I actually picked up Evil Tamahome before I'd ever seen one episode of Fushigi Yuugi. I'd been drooling over another cel from the same sequence in a private collector's sale gallery and was heartbroken when someone finally picked it up. So, I was ecstatic when I stumbled across this cel on a dealer's site. He was $250 which was a boggling price for me at the time-- hey, I was still in high school. So I waited and watched as he languished there seemingly unwanted and unloved at the back of the dealer's FY section.(Thank you uninterested buyers of that time!) But then after saving for many months, and after he'd been slightly discounted, I took the plunge (or rather my bank account did) and he was mine!-- well, sorta.

First, my Visa Check Card just would not work for the dealer. This tied up the proceedings for nearly two weeks until I finally mailed out a money order. In a "Oh, why not?" manuever I also ordered a cheapie $8 OAV evil Tamahome cel (alas, no longer with me) a few days later. I waited with bated breath until my package arrived-- to find an $8 evil Tamahome with the $250 one no where in sight! I thought perhaps that they were being mailed seperately. So I waited and waited and waited. (I had more patience in my youth )And finally I e-mailed to ask what had happened only to find that my much-longed for Tamahome had already been sent, no wait it hadn't, yes it had, did I want another cel from the same sequence if it couldn't be found?, and then finally after two months (quite a while to be holding your breath, ne?) he arrived safely into my greedy arms.

And y'know, that could be considered one of my smoother transactions. (^_^);

It took me awhile to notice (the cels in this sequence are very similiar as you can tell if you ever compare any of them), but Evil Tamahome came with a non-matching pencil sketch of another cel from the same sequence. If anyone has the A4 sketch and wishes to trade for the A6 please let me know.
